Protein is everywhere. Shops are full of protein bars, protein cereal, protein water and even protein ketchup. It’s nuts. And yes, even nuts are a high protein snack too. High protein definitely doesn't mean Carb Free or Sugar Free though. That is, unless you're Cheesies... If you’re looking for a new way to enjoy a high protein snack, meet Cheesies.

What are Cheesies?

They’re cubes of cheese that have been dried and baked to make them crunchy and gobsmackingly tasty. It’s all the high protein goodness of cheese with literally nothing else added. They’re a high protein snack and filling, easy to eat on the move (no fridge required), and they taste incredible, all without a carb in sight. Rather mind-blowing if you ask us. Cheesies can be enjoyed on the sofa (hello lockdown), on the go, after the gym, and even in the evening paired with a drink (hello lockdown), and basically anywhere you can safely blurt out "WHERE HAVE THESE BEEN ALL MY LIFE".

Great, so how much protein?

Cheesies contain around 9g of protein per 20g bag. That’s a lot. It’s more (per gram) than bars like Grenade and a bigger protein hit than 40g of almonds. If you’ve ever looked at the lengthy list of ingredients on many leading protein bars, you’ll see things like polydextrose and maltitol. We don’t know what they are either. If you prefer to put things in your body that you’ve heard of, then Cheesies are for you. The ultimate high protein snack.

They sound amazing, what else do I need to know?

There are five types of Cheesies available: Cheddar - strong, salty, our bestseller for a reason Red Leicester - red, tangy, packs a flavour punch Gouda - sharp, sweet, a mouthful of flavour Emmental - nutty, buttery, and utterly more-ish Goats Cheese - mild, creamy, may surprise you They all have no carbs, no sugar, high protein, and are even gluten free and vegetarian too. Each 20g bag has around 120 calories.

Why go for Cheesies instead of protein bars?

If you’ve ever looked at the lengthy list of ingredients on many leading protein bars, you’ll see things like polydextrose and maltitol. We don’t know what they are either. If you prefer to put things in your body that you’ve heard of, then try Cheesies. What are you waiting for?

It's cheese, but

As delicious as a mid afternoon or post-workout snack as they are with a pint or a G&T, Cheesies are gobsmackingly tasty. But we don't expect you to just take our word for it, take Sean's from Trustpilot:

"Cheesies are "crunchy cheesy snacks from heaven (or wherever they're posted from) - I don't eat crisps, crackers or other wheat based snacks, so when a little peckish struggle for healthy snacks for packed lunches etc. These are fab!! Really crunchy and a 'proper' cheese flavour (not artificial like some well known cheese snack brands)."
